Fair Fun

We went for our annual dose of the fair Saturday and part of Sunday. The best part was our stay at the Hampton Inn. Just kidding. Sort of.

For the first time ever, in the years I've been going, the weather was NOT in the upper 90s. It was so much more pleasant! The kids had fun on the rides, looking at the animals, tormenting Uncle Ben, watching sea lions, etc. Marina did well on the leash, once she got used to the idea. She was very upset about not getting to go on rides with her sisters, so we had to keep her away. Did take her on the merry-go-round once, but she didn't want Jeryl to hold her, so that didn't work out so well.

Sorry we only got pics of our kids; I was feeling lazy about photo taking.

Sophie looks so grown up! Getting ready for my "dose" of the fair. Maybe there is a better word for "leash?" :) Like - safety harness, lost child prevention invention, peace of mind protector, thats all I could think of off the top of my head, I am sure I could up with some more great ones if my brain weren't fried! :)

Oh, I used the word "leash" on purpose! I think they are called safety harnesses. But hey, it's the same thing. Just because some people insist on treating their dogs like children . . . taking them around on leashes . . .

However, I did see a lot more "kiddie harnesses" this year than ever before. Some of them were on much older kids than Marina.

oh yeah, lately, I have seen a ton of people using them shopping, at Walmart, everywhere! I still don't think I can bring myself to use one... stoller, so far so good. :)I still really like the name, lost child prevention invention! Maybe I should contact those companies...

Yeah, but when the stroller doesn't work, they are THE BEST! Even Jeryl doesn't mind quite so much anymore. Marina will only stay in the stroller if it is moving at a good clip. If we dawdle at all, she is having fits to get out. This way she had some freedom, and could burn off energy. We still had the stroller, and forced her in it when we were in more of a hurry, like to and fro the fair.
